Dear SDNers,
I have a simple question to those of you (IMGs, FMGs, non-US seniors) who participated in the 2012 Match this season:
1) If you log-in now onto the NRMP website, and press on the "Update Your Profile" link on the left side of the screen, ...

I am a DO Tapatalk Hi, I just checked the ... .
I just checked the NRMP Site and I couldn't find that option.
Moving to ERAS....maybe there will be more users with current NRMP logins since most current residents do not.
Or better next time.

If you are a US citizen and didn't match, join this facebook group: https://www.facebook.com/groups/Resi...adyPhysicians/
They're trying to join and collaborate to get NRMP or someone to help give preference to US citizens to match over non-US IMGs.
Hope...

I am a DO student applying for this upcoming application cycle. I was wondering if someone could help clarify a few questions for me
1. Its my understanding that in the summer ERAS applications will open up and we can start filling them out, but we dont...

AOA comes first, so if you match there, you're pulled out of NRMP automatically.
There is no problem applying to both the AOA and the NRMP matches.
For the MD match.

I'm currently an intern-trained Navy flight surgeon. After my active duty service obligation, I want to enter civillian osteopathic residency. All military GME programs are ACGME accredited, thus when I filled out my ERAS as an M4, I had to report COMLEX...
Answer Snippets (Read the full thread at studentdoctor):
You will not have to upload your USMLE..
You have to enter everything all over again.
ERAS applications are completely wiped clean each application year.

Questions are about ECFMG ERAS:
If I want to reuse my LORs for the next application season (unmatched first time) is it enough to have them finalized in ERAS or must I actually have sent them in to a residency program?
If I have a new LOR now can I use...

Hey folks,
ERAS for 2012-2013 is quickly approaching! Well, in my psyche, at least. Before we begin tackling that, I was just wondering in general how long people spent on their applications?
I mostly ask because I will pretty much be doing sub-i's/electives...
Answer Snippets (Read the full thread at studentdoctor):
Other than that, the ERAS application is incredibly straightforward and doesn't require that much effort (general info, demographics... .
When does it go up again? July 1? You should already be drafting your PS and working on obtaining LORs .
I'm in the same boat.

Hi, there aren't any recent threads on this topic, so I just want to get some answers from anyone reading this, if possible.
I am at an Australian medical school and will be an IMG applying into the match.
Obviously a dean's letter / MSPE would need to...

I usually tell IMGs ....
If it says nothing of consequence, it is useless.
So if it has your class ranking on it, then that would be useful .
By which I mean the more information it has that they can use, the more it will be used .
It is as useful as it is.

So, ERAS asks for your birth place on the application--what exactly do they do with this information? I have heard it gives you an "in" at programs in the same region based on the assumption that you are more likely to go to that region because you have...
