We started sleep training Friday night so I'm now nursing right before bed but making sure he is still awake when I put him in his crib....
It's the only way to get her to fall sleep for the time being I did up until Friday.

If you nurse/rock your baby to sleep- are you trying to get your baby to self soothe?. What are you doing? I don't know where to start! I don't want my baby to cry it out, but there is no way i could put him down drowsy and he woulf fall asleep on his...

There's really no reason to not....
That said, IMO it's totally okay to let babies nurse to sleep at this age.
Baby will only sleep in the RNP.
I am rocking baby to sleep because otherwise, we would never sleep.

That is what I've been told by both my LC and Dr. I've done that plus fenugreek, tea, oatmeal, salmon, spinach, always tons of water (I live in the desert), reglan, and now domperidone. I have to BF and pump due to work. I pump every three hours and still...

Oh and if you can nurse her and still pump 21 oz a day that is amazing, just nurse again....
She may nurse 7-8 minutes in the am when I'm really full but will only nurse 2-3 minutes really good and try gas drops.
Of 6-9 oz.

Hi, I made a similar but probably less clear post, so here goes again. Is it possible to only nurse once every 3-4 days without drying up? And without pumping (too hard for me). My son is 17 months old by the way so he gets solids and cows milk and water...

My 14 month old will only sleep in her swing, or in our bed. We don't even turn it on anymore. We just set her in it, buckle her in, she may cry for a couple minutes and she goes to sleep. When we put her in the crib she stands up and screams bloody murder...

The whole process only took us I think a week or so to get guessing that you want her to sleep in her crib all the time, and not in your bed? We basically just hope she lays down and goes to....
A half an hour for her to get to sleep.

I am just wondering if any one here did that or does that and if they'd recommend it or not. From what I know and have read, everyone says NOT to do it. So, I have been trying to not associate eating with sleeping. However, DS sleep habits are regressing...

Could only sleep in a crib - yet my kids still got to nap on their body's schedule.

He only way our DS will go to sleep is to be nursed asleep. I have tried to put him down "drowsy but awake" and it does not work. When he wakes up in the night the only way to get him back to sleep is to nurse him. I am reading that this can be a problem...

How old is he?
I wouldn't worry about a sleep association....
Once you are successful doing this once a day, transition to him always putting himself to sleep without assistance from you.
Without talking, nurse him, and try again the next day.

Ok so I'll try and make this short:
DS had colic and is now becoming a more content baby at 16 weeks. However, in the first 3 months, the ONLY way we (me, my husband, & my mom all tried) could get him to sleep was me nursing him. Then, because I was so...

This is sort of long and rambling. Sorry.
So Elizabeth has slept like complete crap since she was about 5 months old. A good night is when she only gets up once. We have tried Ferber, but something always comes up that screws it all up. She gets sick,...

Seriously eats non-stop, for about 2 hours....
I did a horse.
I think, if you're ready, you wean and use Ferber .
Waking up in the middle of the night and instead of self-soothing, she cries so you'll come nurse her to comfort her back to sleep.

My DS was a colicy baby and the only way to calm him during the evening hours would be nursing. Now there is no other way to get him to sleep at night other than nursing, otherwise he will cry for a good hour. I do not want to be the only one who can ...
