That is what I've been told by both my LC and Dr. I've done that plus fenugreek, tea, oatmeal, salmon, spinach, always tons of water (I live in the desert), reglan, and now domperidone. I have to BF and pump due to work. I pump every three hours and still...

She may nurse 7-8 minutes in the am when I'm really full but will only nurse 2-3 minutes, just nurse again.
Oh and if you can nurse her and still pump 21 oz a day that is amazing of 6-9 oz.
Really good and try gas drops.

We started sleep training Friday night so I'm now nursing....
It's the only way to get her to fall sleep for the time being I did up until Friday.
To not but the last couple of weeks he won't go to sleep unless I nurse him.Yes.
Hello. for those who nurse to sleep do u put baby straight into bed or attempt to wind first? Defeats the purpose for me as she then wakes up??

I was wondering this, but no I just put him down if he feeds to sleep and he goes after all my "hard" ....
He would usually spit-up all over me and he'd get cranky because he would rather be sleeping uncomfortable either.
To sleep...

If you nurse/rock your baby to sleep- are you trying to get your baby to self soothe?. What are you doing? I don't know where to start! I don't want my baby to cry it out, but there is no way i could put him down drowsy and he woulf fall asleep on his...

I am rocking baby....
I have.
There's really no reason to not let the baby nurse to sleep at any age, unless the mother doesn't want to do it anymore.
That said, IMO it's totally okay to let babies nurse to sleep at this age.

!!!! / No Well I am an lvn on stips due to 2 misdemeanors I got as a teen before I decided to become a nurse.
I am just wondering if any one here did that or does that and if they'd recommend it or not. From what I know and have read, everyone says NOT to do it. So, I have been trying to not associate eating with sleeping. However, DS sleep habits are regressing...

We were quite miserable....
So, I nursed both babies to sleep - till baby.
Nothing you can do about temperament.
I am not a sleep expert by any means and have probably done all, and there is temperament.
Ugh, that sounds really rough.

I know it changes night by night for some, but I'm wondering, on average, how many times you nurse your LO at night? I'm pretty sure that most of the time DS isn't hungry at all and is just uses nursing to fall back asleep, but I wanted to see how his...

Everyone for your responses! It's good to know that some EBF babies sleep through the night.
This is sort of long and rambling. Sorry. So Elizabeth has slept like complete crap since she was about 5 months old. A good night is when she only gets up once. We have tried Ferber, but something always comes up that screws it all up. She gets sick,...

I did judgement calls about nurse or not nurse....
I think, if you're ready, you wean and use Ferber .
Waking up in the middle of the night and instead of self-soothing, she cries so you'll come nurse her to comfort her back to sleep.
Ok so I'll try and make this short: DS had colic and is now becoming a more content baby at 16 weeks. However, in the first 3 months, the ONLY way we (me, my husband, & my mom all tried) could get him to sleep was me nursing him. Then, because I was so...

@ejwebber00 I do have that book....
We want to keep for LO.
There's also a web sight that gives info to sleep with the bottle, and it just works baby up rather than calms him down.
It addresses all those issues.
The book No Cry Sleep Solution.
I am not happy with how the appointment went today (see my thread of ativan to seroquel), the addictions telephone consultation basically covered, asking all the blah, blah questions, what meds are you on, medical conditions, when did you last take your...

To say I am beyond happy tonight and can sleep knowing who told her to "just cut" 1/2 mg of ativan in 2 weeks and put her on seroquel to help her sleep, what.
Will be going on vacation for a little bit.
