We were invited to a surprise party that starts at 8pm. Obviously, we'd have to get there on time to be part of the surprise. The place is ~30 minutes away.
Currently, LO's bedtime is 8pm. I nurse her to sleep. I start at 7:35 and by 8:03, she's asleep...

I have been thinking about this a lot lately - based on comments on the board, it sounds like some LOs nurse to sleep and others just before sleep. So I was just curious at the frequency of this (and wanted to try my hand at a poll, LOL!).
I know naps...

She's always been a nurse before sleep child.
My second child never nursed to sleep - even as a young baby.
Awake just so he could nurse for very, very long times.

I'm not sure when I'm going to stop BFing, but I have this fear of how will I ever get LO to sleep once I stop. My mom keeps him during the day and is able to just sing and rock him to sleep. I have tried that and it just doesn't happen for me. I nurse...

Sometimes he's totally asleep, other times he's drowsy, there might be transition period, but you'll find a new normal and that will be that .

Dd is 14 months old. We have co-slept since day 1 and she has always needed me to nurse her to sleep sitting up. Once she is asleep, I have to adjust her into the side lying position until she lets go a second time. I cannot just lay her down and walk...

You could nurse sitting up and then give her the pacifier as you are laying her down.

Good day--
This is what happens when I am trapped in the hospital on trauma call with no way to communicate to the outside world, bombarded with situations in the ED that would make even the most acrid person dab away a tear--or in this case, sip a Diet...

The difference between a graduate nurse and a seasoned nurse.
A Graduate Nurse throws up when the patient does.
An experienced nurse calls housekeeping when a patient throws up

Do you still nurse or bottle-feed your baby to sleep at night? I do. If you do too, when do you plan to stop? If not, what does your bedtime routine look like? How soon before bed does your LO nurse/have a bottle?

Elizabeth Pantley's "No Cry Sleep Solution" might also help.
Stopped nursing to sleep naturally, although she still does wake several times every night to nurse be helpful.

Hi. This has been playing on my mind since the birth of my ds 4 months ago. The nurse who delivered him said she was a 'mothercraft' nurse and also signed his birth registration papers as signature - mothercraft nurse.
This is my 7th child and I birthed...

I agree with the two PP's....
My understanding is that a midwife is trained in delivering babies, while a mothercraft nurse babies, Mothercraft nurse = postnatal care of baby and mother specialising in feeding, sleeping, settling etc.

I do not know the moment....
Some day you will no longer need and curl into my arms in a different way, and you will comfort yourself to sleep with my proximity rather nursing.
The moment that you stopped chomping down and began to nurse.
