The baking soda/urine test made me think. What old wives tales have you heard about the sex of the baby? What have you tried? For those of you with kids or that know the sex of the baby, were the OWT right?

I have a family that does and believes in a lot of old wives tales that tell you the babies sex before birth.... I am not sure if I believe as I have had one kid that was supposed to be a girl and end up a boy.. BUT most were right with my second child...

Down 50/50 on the old wives tales and I still have yet to know what I'm having.

Anyone have a feeling about the sex of their lo?
If old wives tales are anything to go by I think I might be having a boy - I'm craving savory food (salt and vinegar crisps to be exact!), am not as sick as I was with dd and only seem to be putting weight...

Who belives in the old wives tales or has anyone tried any and they were correct? I looked at the chineese gender caculator one and it said boy then I did the baking soda test and it came up girl!! What the heck! lol We find out Feb. 14th but I'm dying...

On thursday that we are definitely having a baby boy 100%!!! Oh yes, and the old wives tale on heart rate beauty, and i have gained weight every where and she sits up high.

Of Feb, then you're not at term yet, right? So why attempt to induce labor so early?
The old wives' tales are just that- none of them have been proven to work and can cause more problems than provide.

I know it's kind of silly, but at the same time it would be fun to see what people say...
The old wives' tale says that if your linea nigra runs only from your navel downward, it's a girl. If it also goes upward toward your ribs, it's a boy.
