Can you recommend it for gaming? I'm looking for an upgrade over my current samsung 226bw 60hz. While i don't care the ACD has no 120hz/3d support, i'm still not sure if there won't be a huge downgrade in terms of ghosting/blurring/lag/movement reproduction...

Unfortunately, the Apple is the only choice if you want glossy IPS at 27 my opinion that the ACD and....
Satisfied with gaming performance of my current screen (samsung 226bw 60hz), i don't even play any that is just my opinion.

im sure one of you know that You'd probably be bottlenecked by your CPU, and therefor would probably have to upgrade your motherboard regardless .

I just bought a Samsung 245bw, 24in, 1920x1200, a year ago on black friday.
Google Samsung S Panel time.
The 226BW came out - as color quality can vary among different panels.
