Definitely a guy singing to a girl, the other way 'round would be creepy... I kinda feel like the first verse isn't laying the proper groundwork for the story... I tried dropping the "oughta" but it just didn't feel right... lemme...

Truth be told, until I fixed it for inspection last year, I don't think it ever worked .
I was stopped a few times for having the 3rd brakelight out on my cherokee .
