Where are yu most likly to get air leaks.
It's on the interior of the house foundation walls.
Sorry when I said outside wall I didn't actually mean outside.
Area I'd also insulate them with foam tubes.

Unless you have leaks there will not be a mineral build up on the outside of copper.

If you have a 60 gallon water heater feeding a 40 gallon heater plumbed in series, do you effectively have 100 gallons of hot water?

If you plumb them in line like that Id use the first heater as a preheater so the cold exhaust air outside....

Glue to the outside of the pipe, and not apply glue to the inside of the receiving fitting? (I've l o w because going around the outside is a more clumsy procedure.

Pipes do not qualify as grounding electrodes but the gas plumbing must be bonded to the grounding conductor (ground wire) will establish the bond from gas plumbing to ground.
