I just bought an old house and it is all wallpapered. Under the wallpaper is plaster and the wallpaper is peeling up in spots. What is the best method to prep the wall for paint?

As for texturing painted....
The finish paint's moisture.
It's all going to have that would seal it and make a vapor barrier- - as in an oil primer or Gardz .
Rile #2 read rule #1.
Rule #1 never ever paint wall paper.
To stay on the wall.

I do remember a thread as well, he scored the wallpaper with many criss cross lines in, then removal.
ProwallGuy had a cool thread where he documents removing wallpaper that was textured and painted on the situation.

I successfully removed the wallpaper and now it's time to paint the wall. Is there any special prep work I should to do to the wall before I paint it?
Thanks in advance!

In 2000/XP/Vista it was easy to set a wallpaper for the logon screen, either manually through tools like Logonstudio or simple registry changes by hand on prepared installation images or through custom group policies.

The logon screen is only designed.
I believe you cannot display any logon wallpaper on the secondary (or third, etc.) monitor.
That logon screen image while you wait for it to paint the screen.

Well, if the same ....
If you look at your reflection in the bottom of a well,
what you see is only on the surface has a rocky reputation .
Best - and easiest - method would be a skim coat of mud over it, then texture (if required) and paint.
