When overclocking your system? what steps do you take to get a maximum but stable overclock out of your system?
I've personally just slammed up the FSB speed until my system can't run Prime95 for a long time. Should I be doing more with memory/voltages...

i have C2Q Q8400, Intel dg41rq, 2gb ram, ati 4350 1gb
i don't have any kind of fsb setting in bios...
so i cant understand how to overclock my gpu....

Is overclocking a computer or laptop good??? does it messes up your stuff??? does it crash sometimes??? good or bad??? do you usually overclock your rig??? p.s.- im talking about overclocking RAM or processors.

I just upgraded to Windows 7 Pro 64bits and added 2 gigs of extra memory.
I been overclocking my Intel E2180 for quite a long time now(since I got it) and these following settings always worked.
I have a Gigabyte P35-DS3L

Try the settings with only the new RAM and swap them around to see if one (or both) of the sticks are bad/don't have the same specs .
Or you may have a bad stick of RAM.
Sounds like the extra memory doesn't have the same specs as the original memory .

In 4k budget which is decent mobo for overclocking 955BE to 3.8/4GHz ?
No MSI boards. AM3+, at least 4+1 phase design must. Sata3 and USB3 optional.

Yes we did know about overclocking them and have they are AWESOME rigs like to have the Overclocking on the laptops to have like 1-2 preloaded OC profiles and left open Understanding that overclocking....
To the extreme and we enjoy them.

160 gb HDD from samsung
