I think this question suits a lot of SO members.
I'd like to know from you guys who are from US / Europe / Australia, what are the chances of a foreigner / overseas professional to get hired? I'm willing to go abroad, I've already found a lot of positions...

If it is really valuable....
But I'd balance this with an honest assessment of how valuable your code is to you and to a supposedly dishonest contractor .
Either take the risk, or don't use off-shore contractors.
I don't think there's much you can do about it .
