I haven't found much on thin packs, and the man pages' information is rather cryptic about this. I know it has something to do with slow connections, but what would be a "slow connection"?

I need to update Vista SP1 to SP2 and install SP1 for SQL Server Express 2008. In which order should I install these service packs and has anyone had any problems with installing SP1 for SQL Server 2008?

I know it does this for SQL 2000.
It should tell you if your OS service pack level isn't high enough.

I'd like to install windows XP to my 1.5tb hd. The install disk has no service packs built in, will a hard drive this size cause problems? I can't remember weather XP pre service pack one had a hd size limit or weather it was windows 2000.

This was addressed/fixed in SP1.
There was a 137gb limit on the orginal pre service pack windows xp.
You are correct.
XP should handle up to 2 TB per volume after the service packs are applied.

There is a security update to 3.5 SP1 though that you should installed multiple versions of the .NET Framework and service packs without reboots in between; however.
And the service pack in a single install.
