As earlier discussions discussed, painters can paint what they see or what they feel. The concept may be to paint as accurately as possible all the way to painting non-objectively with no recognisable imagery. Whatever moves you!
Here's a painting of ...

I really like the final sketch it feels like a stormynight .
For me it is the feeling of the painting that is most important.
I like how you paint what you feel about what you see! I have always thought, the painting should of it.

I am a somewhat beginner painter. Is is better to paint from a photo or from another already done painting?
Also, since my drawing skills are just average, what is your opinion about using a grid to get the drawing on the canvas?
Thanks

You can draw with your paint brush - in fact, that is how I would beginner painter.
The nice thing about paint is that you can make changes and corrections by just painting over what and painting as two separate things.

Azek recommends a LRV of 55 or higher.
Did a job dark brown with the safe paint, regardless of Light Reflective Value of the paint.
Can you even get a black vinyl safe? Dont do it imo .

Hello
My wife and I are about to start painting our 1899 farm house. The walls are the original plaster and lathe walls. We have never painted an entire interior before and, while it seems simple enough, it would be great to have the expertise of true...

Hi
Does anybody know where I can find a free filter that would make a picture look like a painting?
I have tried to play around with some of the build-in filters but none of them really made it look like a painting.

New paint looks good.
Most people think paint is paint.
Educate them on quality.
