DH is saying Paleo is vegetarian - how do I repond?
People on this forum have talked about the myth that hunting was difficult and unreliable. I've heard that game was actually extremely plentiful, and I've also heard that hunter-gatherers didn't have to do more than three hours of any sort of work per day. I don't have good references for this, but I'd like to know if anyone else does.
The three-hours-per day statement is in a financial self-help book called "Your Money or Your Life" by Vicki Robin and Joe Dominguez. I don't have it anymore, so I can't check if they provided references.

Which Paleo Books do you Recommend?
I'd also mention The Garden of Eating by Rachel Albert-Matesz and Don Matesz. Very good "science-y" part of the book, and the recipes I've tried have all been good. Sometimes they do try to cut some fat, but only because they like to cut calories.

Pork shoulder butt - paleo advice?
Yeah, I wouldn't grill it unless you can grill it for several hours at a rather low temperature. Usually pork shoulder gets cooked slowly at a low temperature.

Paleo for Athletes?
Cordain was mostly talking about workouts that deplete glycogen. The idea is that it's good to get as much high-GL carbs as soon as possible after a workout because the body will use them for glycogen. Those same carbs taken in later might go to fat instead. So, he was talking about conditioning only, I think. I don't think he ever talked about milk, but it would seem to fit the idea considering that it's about like liquid candy.

Paleo diet - Anyone use it?
Mom and I use a modified version simply because of the cost of all that meat. There is a bit of concern about all the fructose from fruit intraconverting to fat in the liver, but this is something of an individual issue, and with lots if veggies, is less concerning.
