If you require a visa to enter....
I carry a photo copy as most police forces around the world understand the value of your actual passport, regardless of what the law may say .
You do not have to walk up to all of them and show it .
If they ask to see it, yes.

Nobody is going to stop and ask you....
Before I travel I make a photo copy of my passport and carry it with me, after showing my real passport to customs I put it in a safe spot, for instance the safe in my hotel room and only carry around the photocopy .

I sent mine in for renewal between Christmas and....
It isn't the busy season and its a Renewal so it should be back by 2 wks or less .
We did it a few years ago and got it back in 10 days .
The Website says you should receive it in 2wks but it may take 6wks .

Ali bhai HP4580 is not a laser printer ;( Why dont you get ... .
It comes in two version's with and without WIFI, that depends on your requirement .
I've used it and it includes pretty much everything, printing, scanning, fax .
HP 4580 is what I'd recommend.
