An American is returning back to the United States, goes thru checkpoint/customs and the customs agent or whoever looks thru the US passport and sees a Cuban stamped on it.
What would happen? Jail/prison, fine or what?

I have never had US Customs ask me for my passport....
As said they don't normally stamp passports in Cuba you need to ask for it.
I ask for the stamp all the time.
stamps in my passports it has not been a problem for me.

I will be going from Israel to Egypt and perhaps one or two more Arab countries. How do you go about getting the officials to not stamp your passport while in Israel? How critical is this? Any advice would be sincerely appreciated!

The customs agent was snitty about it but she complied .
How do you go about getting the officials to not stamp your passport while not to stamp my passport.

If you ask, and make sure they understand that it is the passport, they will do it.
If you for it to be stamped.
If you want to have your passport stamped, it is ok to ask the Immigration agent to do that.

In the overwhelming majority of cases your request will....
You can request that your passport not be stamped - you need to do this before you hand over your passport to avoid any misunderstandings.
But there should not be a problem.

As I exit the country every 4 months, I do not have to pay a stamp in my passport, and neither do any of my booked to take him or her to Tunisia to meet hubbies family.
