Does Windows 7 (or any version of Windows) save a history list of programs run on the machine? I'm looking for a way to find out which programs ran on my machine this past Saturday, and what time they were executed.

Just today we have suffered two utility power failures, all without any warning! Is there some device to put between the computer and the wall socket, in conjunction with Windows7, to initiate a normal computer shutdown when the power fails? Peter

Win 7 needs an icon that lets you half screen any program. It also needs an icon to keep any program on top. It also needs an icon that will allow a video player to display minimum view.
