Do a google search, look up YT vids on pet rats home? Rats may be pests, not pets but they are still animals, just like your dog or my cat.
They make very good pets too (the domesticated variety).

Put rat poison in dishes outside the doors at night and cover them up in the mornings so your pets don;t eat the pellets....
There is only 1 way to keep rodents from getting into a home...seal the small holes where enough to stop rodents.

I know little about pack behavior among rodents.
I had a pet rat once too, it was honestly one of the coolest pets I've ever they arrived at them lend them credibility.

Are there any places that board rodents? Need to find a place that will take care of my two guinea pigs when i go on a two week vacation this fall. So are there any places that board rodents or should i just have my mom ask one of her friends to watch...

Some vets will board animals, including rodents, but they might not get as much attention as they'd will board pets while their humans are....

Lots and lots of animals for sale and re home. I am NOT a rescue but I do take in pets to re home to nice people with permission. I enjoy the hobby of breeding pets. I love the challenges they bring as well as exciting new people you meet along the way...

But is it worth the risk of injury or death to your rodents? She's a lot bigger then a rat and your smaller pets could be seriously injured or killed.

Pets you would recommend for a 13 year old? I'm a girl... but that probably doesn't make a difference. I see myself as responsible :) at least enough to take good care of an animal. I'm allergic to cats, and no way mom and dad would let me get a dog. ...
