The optics of the Verisyse phakic intraocular lens (P-IOL) are not larger enough go straight to Epi-Lasik rather than the repositioning first, or a different type of phakic IOL to remove the phakic IOL early.
With centering.
Only you can make that decision after thorough discussion with your child's eye surgeons. You can always get a second opinion. And FYI it's "aphakic" glaucoma. That means without the natural lens. Phakic means with the natural lens. JCH MD

KU student? Dont get surgery that isn't Navy approved.
You can apply but don't be surprised if you are not accepted .
They do make exceptions but you are, on average, 25% over the allowable limit .

Considering phakic intraoccular lenses as the new lenses and I just don't recommended the phakic procedure....
