I was talking about the issue of just plugging laptops, phones etc into the mic input of desk. We often just have a 1/8" to XLR adapter rather than using the preferable DI box, purely because we never have enough. Most of said adapters are stereo 1/8"...

Sometimes connecting XLR to a mixer with phantom power active can cause a surge and damage equipment....
The axe can handle phantom power being sent through the XLR cable, but always make connections with the mixer power off.

Used the xbox mini for about two years with a dynamic mic now bought a new condenser and switched phantom power on and set all the switches correctly and i get no signal or anything..Used phantom power before and it worked fine a year ago..
