I would like to measure how different applications will perform under poor Signal Quality.
Where Signal Quality is measured by:
Signal / Noise * SNR = Signal Quality -80 / -90 * 10 = 8.9%
What are the best tools/hardware available (not too expensive) ...

I spend a decent amount of time setting the photos for all the contacts on my iPhone so that the photo will come up full-screen when talking to them on the phone. I use ActiveSync to sync my iPhone with Google Contacts and Calendar, and that is all working...

I'm talking about the phone device itself. Not phone service, i.e. AT&T, Verizon, Sprint, etc.
Also not talking about music.
I'm talking, specifically, of listening to a person's voice when you hold your cell phone up to your ear.

If I call somebody on another IP phone on the LAN? That would certainly cause poor quality.
