A coworker of mine just got his iPhone stolen. He had insurance so he got it replaced, but I was just wondering what happens to the stolen phone?
I thought there would be some kind of program that would allow the company to brick the phone if it was reported...

Is there a market for stolen phones? I would think so since someone could say they just bought a used phone and wantIf you report your phone stolen the service is disabled for that particular phone.

My phone did not have the app installed, so lets skip that. How do I find it and the person who stole it? Need to kill all the apps running and keep my personal info out of reach of the creep who stole it.

Last night whilst out in Birmingham I had my mobile phone stolen. I was in a club and had quite a lot to drink although I wasn't legless and would have noticed/heard my phone drop to the floor as it's a hefty iPhone 4S.

They can lock it and also receive a tracking signal when of phones got stolen that night so they must've been out in force.

I remember reading articles of people installing apps onto their iPhones and if it gets stolen, you report it and the phone gets tracked etc etc.
Does anyone have an recommendation for the latest app for this type of thing?
