Hi all,
The forums have been upgraded to phpBB 3.0.9. Along with this, I've updated our Tapatalk plugin, and our anti-spam plugin. Whether the latter will have any effect on the amount of spam we're getting, I don't know, but we can only hope!

Anonymous users are already allowed to post in phpBB....
Although maybe it was migrated from there?
phpBB is fully extensible and can do what you want /forum/ to the category listing and by writing the theme to ignore the category areas.

I need to run a simple forum. I have limited control of the box, so I need something with the same runtime requirements as phpBB.
However, we are talking about a local forum here for maybe 300 or so users max and phpBB is just overkill in terms of functionality...

phpBB may be overkill for you but so whatI just run a VM with ....
SimpleMachines Forum (SMF) seems pretty good.
Here's a demo forum releases.
It works somewhat differently than phpBB, but is really nice to use.

Installed IP.Board 3.3.1
Converted 90K+ posts from a phpbb 3 forum.
The conversion did it's thing and correctly and converted all the posts into IP.Board however I have 1 major problem. A vast majority of those posts had links to other forum posts within...

This is the million dollar question, I see it time and time again on here and other php coding related sites and forums but I have NEVER seen an answer to it.
