Inspect the keys to put all that effort into hauling that heavy piano to find out that the keys are to far gone to work with.
Those older pianos can weight up to 1000 lbs from all that old iron inside.

I laugh every time I hear Kurz piano hate speak.
It's cute and all, but it's not part of the piano's "voice" for me.
When I set up piano sounds for live work, I take out "noise" layers.
The realism issue.

Yes, and with an electronic piano, you don't have to mess with tuning or worry about temperature/sun/etc.
If you decide to get a piano it was moved.
Of that, with a cheapo MIDI keyboard and a DAW running Ableton and Finale .
