Of course, if you KNOW the size of your file is not too large or if you store the contents in memory... .
This way you know you're not filling your memory unnessecarily .
Because your file could be very large and the buffer has usually a fixed size of 4-32 KB .

What are the pros and cons with a 1 piece and 2 piece guide rods? I know the 2 piece is easier to break down, but also heard that it will come loose when firing. Any input on this?

The two piece guide rods do, and....
One piece guide rods are typically easy to break down since they don't require an allen wrench.
More important is NOT to over tighten when installing.
I've never had a 2 piece guide rod come loose.
