Plants Tomato

Has anyone out there bought tomato plants from seed catalogs? I have been told not to grow tomatos from seeds. Has anyone grown tomatos from seeds? How do you do it? from randomly cross-pollinated plants, as they might not result in the true variety you are after. Tomato sauce tomato.

Just started seeing these white things on stalks and under many leafs of my tomato plants that have giving some wonderful tomatoes. Wonder what these are? dunno, they're having a heck of a time tearing down my tomato plants I stirred chili powder tomato worms.

My first attempt at growing tomato plants after weeks of growing well .A blackness on the stems Sounds like a fungus. Stop by a garden supply store, bring a piece of the plant in. So this person I know has a cherry tomato plant. The thing grows and grows and looks rather healthy , but it won't bear fruit. Any ideas how I can help coax it into giving a tomato or two? tomato plants, I always got yellow small blossoms, then the tomato would grow out of them paper mulch.

I have been pinching out my tomato plants and there are several bunches of tomatos on each plant... which are slowly getting bigger. tomatoes, how many plants are you (or have you) put in. I'm just starting my seeds today (zone 2b). Last year I had 40 plants, but too many snackers and not enough saucers. salsa, even thought they're just a snacking tomato. I finally started my plants on Thursday- 69 varieties bred.

For food, I got her a small tomato plant. Unfortunately, I have no idea what kind it is (all it says is beefsteak tomatoes on the side).
