I am trying to develop a plasmoid in python. I got some good tutorials here (techbase.kde.org/Development/Tutorials/Plasma) and they are really helpful, but they don't have documentation or examples about QT layouts and their usage.

Modern TVs are a lot better at displaying computers - but the older ones are simply, in no way, as good as computer monitors .
This is usually down to a variety of problems.

To my understanding, no but you could also consult with the plasma Plasma amino acids center's Medical Director. I do know my mother had one patient who had donated plasma Plasma amino acids too often (twice a week?) and she was having health issues.....

Hi folks,
I've got an oldish mac notebook (eg. not an intel based one). Works fine. I connect it to my plasma tv via a dvi->hdmi cable. Instantly it recognises stuff, displays flash on and off and finally the tv has the 2nd screen. kewl :)

The easiest way will be to actually use a program like DisplayConfigX to set your resolution (if it isn't recognizing it correctly) and to handle the Overscan accordingly .
This can be done in the "Monitors" panel of the "System Preferences" .

How long will plasma TVs stay on the market? Will they be phased out in favor of LEDs? I have a plasma you see, but it can only do 720p. In the future, I want to upgrade it to one that can do 1080p. I much prefer the look of the plasmas over the other...

I'd suggest you use a HDMI or the Plasma the may be an issue because HDMI signal become less reliable if cabling is more than 10m back to HDMI again.
You need to split the HDMI output between the PJ and the Plasma screen.
