Was just thinking about this. It seems quite a waste to throw away strings which are predominately a form of plastic. Nylon is consistently recycled in the form of carpets, and polyester is actually a very great sustainable resource for the textile industry...

Isnt recycling bad because refineries are needed and that adds carbon to the atmosphere? Just curious, my idea is recycling is collected for free then is sold to refineries to make money out of garbage, you get 10 cents per can and some change for plastic...
