Just bought a gold mickey platy and a sunburst wag platy for our 10g. The golden is a female and most definitely pregnant, can anyone tell me roughly how far along she is and when shell probably give birth, so i can move her to our breeder tank before...

Her anal cavity is opened slightly,....
She definitely has all the signs of giving birth soon .
She will look like a little balloon, unless this is her first time .
When she is ready to give birth, you defiantly know .
Probably about 3-4 weeks, give or take.

Platys are notoriously nervous and easily stressed by active tankmates like tetras.
I could be that everyone else is too rambunctious for her to settle down enough to breed .

And even a very large pregnant female endler will not eat an adult shrimp.
Eat baby shrimp, either, except for the very large pregnant female endlers, which look like female into the filter.
