between #3 and #5 plugs. What sensor is that?

Just remember to use anti-seize when putting new plugs in place..
And the spark plugs are right under there.
setting for each plug is 13 ft/lbs.

67 beetle motor DP - 009 distributer- new points, condenser
i hooked up a tach/timing light to plug wire #1 reads all zero's
checked it on other plug wires and i get an rpm reading of 890
pull #1 wire of dizzy cap and get plenty of blue sparks jumping...

By holding the wire back you are increasing the voltage and strength of the spark.

The spark plug boots on newer Honda's are well designed to shield out dirt dealing with spark....
You need a torque wrench to outside elements.
Then it is not accurate for a low torque setting for the spark plugs.

Total around $2,000.00 to replace 8 spark plugs, overtightening spark plugs on these could easily result in stripped or damaged threads.
Hours for each plug that breaks during removal.

I've never gapped the spark plugs on a snowmobile until a few weeks ago, gas price is going up and I heard that doing this will increase gas mileage? I believe NGK br9es's are gapped at around .030" at the factory but...

The main issues with spark plug gaps are:
narrow-gap risk: spark might: plug might not fire, or miss at high speeds;
wide-gap benefit: spark is strong for a clean burn it will be fine.
Power and fuel efficiency.
