Anyone here practice point shooting? I just read about this last night, and it seems worth learning.
Any tips for shooting revolver? Auto?

In reading further about it, I read....
Use an auto so you can night that the US Army is teaching point-shooting instead of sight-shooting.
I trained shooting up close (10-12 feet) and point blank, timed drills.
Results.

I am shooting a couple bows that are tillered for split finger shooters my 2 kodiak mags. I shoot 3 fingers under my question is would a 3/4 nock point height be to high. If i understand right a 3 finger under shooter shooting a bow tillered for split...

Use a tied on nock and just screw it up slowly till but impact point can be adjusted....
Your release and arrow combo will determine difference in nock height while shooting 3 under.
Mine is 5/8" on a split tiller bow shooting 3 under.

Not quite the same as point shooting, it does involve using the sights but so does....
Handguns are an entirely different animal; I practice point-shooting with them a lot, there is such a thing as snap shooting.
Practice.

I'm fairly good at point-shooting with a rifle, but never tried with pistols. I'm also interested in getting into some sort of Cowboy Action Shooting. I would probably use a pair of 1851 Navies but I don't care for the sights. Do any of you practice point...

I shoot duelist....
I ended up taking too many misses and went to using the sights .
Otherwise the general rule compete by point shooting with my pistols.
Occasionally to rarely, a CAS stage will REQUIRE point or hip shooting.
