I need audio playback with these features: good performance (for game), pitch control, and ability to layer the same sample multiple times at the same time (polyphony). What would be a quick way to get this on the iphone sdk?

FMOD (www.fmod.org) provides all these features.

I guess I have no need for polyphonic autotune though, but no latency, way better than of PITCHMAP: Real-Time Polyphonic Pitch Correction And Mapping .

Anybody know of a VST plug that converts polyphonic audio to MIDI? Any freebies that you know about? Have you used them? Worth a darn? I have seen the ads for the Widisoft converter. Not sure I want to spend that much on a plug I may never use...
