Is there a PHP function that would 'pop' first element of array?
array_pop() pops last element, but I'd like to pop the first.

What is the difference in using the blocking call pop() as compared to,
while(pop_if_present(...))
Which should be preferred over the other? And why?
I am looking for a deeper understanding of the tradeoff between polling yourself as in the case of while...

With blocking pop() , if queue is empty, you simple though - always sleep-wait , i.e....
With the while(pop_if_present(...)) you are doing brute-force busy wait (also called spinning, and to build higher level constructs such as semaphores .

Nice poll:) Like them both...Depends on my mood....
Freezer pops--juicy, cold, AND refreshing.
But, I'm going to have to go with fudge pops.
Both are candies that I like in my opinion.

Pop, you are only performing it on one stack, but at that point in your code, _stackCopy.

The light goes in the plexi and lights up whatever you etched .
Lights on the edges.
All you basically do is etch/engrave what you want on the backside then just put neons/l.e.d .
The signs are usually made of plexiglass/lexan.

pop pop sound is not gone table today and this pop pop sound shown at high rpms(4000).
Timing idle to 20° for 800rpm, and 24° for 600 rpm and it is very smooth .
