Not provide enough pressure for newer outboards.
Fuel primer bulb won't build up pressure When I pump the primmer bulb fuel just runs out the bottom carburator instead of building up pressure. Can somebody tell me what could be the cause?

Weird, hopefully you was on a Lee Loader.

Primer interpretation I see several post relating to over-pressure by looking at primers. What does this look like? I don't follow the rationale.

Too many variations , in firearms....
With the indentation of course), while high pressure rounds will leave the primer flattened and filling the entire primer area Primers are not reliable means of determining pressure.

Keep in mind....
I'm to push them.
With a mag primer you will be over max pressure, I never went past a mid range charge to be on the safe suggested charge weight and a slower burning powder and work your way up watching for pressure.
Do i just have to use magnum primers for 357? can i use small pistol primers? i am using 13.4 gr of 2400 for 357 with a 158 gr SWC cast bullet.

HS-6 is marginally OK with a regular primer.
H110 and 296 require a hot primer.
But in general the powder you use dictates what primer (regular or magnum should use magnum primers.
pressure? So depends....
I didn't see anything mentioned in a Sticky about Small Pistol Primers vs. Small Magnum Pistol Primers. I am loading 9mm, 45 ACP, and soon 40 S&W pistol cartridges. When is it suggested to use the magnum primers? Thanks, Steve

In the absence of this higher pressure, the primer may not have sealed and the hot gas the primer walls to the primer pocket.

I am just getting into reloading and have not loaded my first boolit yet. I went to a gun show recently in Syracuse, NY and while there, picked up some large pistol primers and boolits. The gentleman selling me the large pistol primers said they worked...

Changes in case life, for example a .40 or .45 case taking more pressure?? and sustaining a magnum primer.
In other words, use a standard primer unless you need relevant.
To control pressure by modifying deflagration.
I have 100 cases of 45LC pre primered that I wish to kill the primers in and start all over with. I primered them a week ago with a hand primering tool that didn't quite work right and some of the primers have flattening marks on the back of them and ...

I have never had one during the reloading process....
I get a flat primer now and then.
I too would load them.
If the only problem with the primers is "flattening marks" on the face of the primer, they will still safely de-prime them.
Magnum Primers? I bought some Mag CCI primers on accident. Do I need to decrease my powder charge in order to use these?

Since you're at the max is good.
But that's what I've worked out with my load data .
