grounded/number of quotations - ATLAS.ti Forum
In my code manager (as in the network view with extended labels), there are, in some instances, a discrepancy between a code's grounded total, and the actual number of quotations listed.
I have for example "connection problems {14-1}, but when I list the quotations, there are only 8 listed.
Now I assume that somewhere, when merging codes, something went wrong or I did something wrong - not that I can see how I could have done anything wrong.
Where I have unlinked, I have done it correctly.
Any idea on why this is happening, and how can I correct it?
Regards

Never had that before but i tried to reconstruct.
All i can come up with right now is: family filter.
if you have a code1 {3-0} which is coded 2x in PD1 and 1x in PD2.
Then you activate a PD family filter that throws out PD2 then this causes the discrepancy of shown {3-0} codes but only 2 available codes when double clicking.
like on the pic attached.
So try going thro any possible filters you might have activated.
helps?

Thanks Kathrin, but no cigar I have 2 PD's, but PD1 is coded strictly in English, while PD2 is coded in another language.
My family filters are matched to the different languages, so the code "connection problems {14-1}", since it is English, is present only in PD1.
I've gone through all my filters, and can't see anything wrong.
I'm waiting for a response saying "your whatever is corrupt"

Hi Mac,
you can select Extras|Reset all Filters to ensure no filters are active.
If the problem persists, please issue a ticket using our support channel: http://support.atlasti.com

Thanks Thomas! That solved it for me.
I think Kathrin's suggestion was in fact correct - it just wasn't obvious to me (clever you Kathrin!).
However, it took me to reset the filters to correct the problem and realize that perhaps an earlier (mis)use of families is in fact to blame.
Guess the safest route, for starters like me, is to reset filters everytime you change your mind until you know what you are doing.
It seems so obvious now, but hey, its a learning process
Thanks to both of you!
