Love Triangles (and other complicated relationships) - AnimeSuki Forum
I need something long, preferably with good character development and a satisfying conclusion (so nothing currently airing or with a new season in the works).
Comedy is fine as well, but preferably something that keeps the cliche stuff to a minimum, or at least does it well.
Basically looking for something like Kimagure Orange Road, Touch, Honey and Clover, or Maison Ikkoku.

For the love of all that is good NANA .
Don't be an idiot like me and avoid it cause it doesn't "look" like a series you'd like.
Although satisfying conclusion -- probably not.
Simoun is another good one.
Again ignore the hokey intro.
Personal opinions will dictate if you find the ending satisfying in the same way as whether or not you thought the ending of 5cm per second was satisfying.

Peach Girl - definitely a shoujo drama oriented love triangle with a conclusive and satisfying ending
Okusama wa Mahou Shoujo - romance love triangle involving an already married Mahou Shoujo and a younger man she meets, lol
Okusama wa Joshikousei - as the name implies, where a teacher is secretly married to his high school student
Hatsukoi Limited - somewhat like KimiKiss Pure Rouge except with twice the relationships, but half the episodes.
One of those relationships get completely fleshed out with a satisfying ending while the others not so much, although it's still good.
oh yeah, and School Days ...
Maybe

There's a brief triangle in Nodame Cantabile , but it's tangential to the major plot lines.
The relationship between Nodame and Chiaki certainly qualifies as complicated, though.
I had some issues with the use of slapstick in the early episodes, but the comedy becomes more subtle, and less central, as the story unfolds.
You might also consider Genji Monogatari Sennenki , based on the 1,000-year-old novel about an amorous prince.
Genji certainly has a variety of complicated relationships with a triangle along the way as well.

This is a tough one, since you've basically listed the best ones.
True Tears is probably one of the most well-done apart from those.
Kimi ga Nozomu Eien is another famous one.
Kare Kano is a great romance story, but does not involve any major love triangle or the like.
Whisper of the Heart?
Always a good recommendation, but again, no love triangle.
For anyone who liked Touch, Cross Game is a definite must watch.
Of course, it's still airing.
I guess Nana is an option but I find that show a lot more shallow than Maison Ikkoku, Honey and Clover, etc.
But maybe you would disagree.

You can't say love triangle without mentioning SDF Macross.

Seconding Nodame , Nana , True Tears , KimiKiss .
True tears was one of the best love polygon animes .
Recommending Bokura ga Ita .
It isn't a long series but it has good character development.

Just stopped by this thread earlier and picked up Kimi Ga Nozomu Eien from the suggestions, flow of the story is relatively clean (a bit jumpy in earlier episodes), character development is over the top
and i must say, this one has a really heart wrenching love triangle in it, you wont be disappointed

Or any Macross series for that matter.
SDF-1 is my favourite and Frontier is pretty good bar the ending.
