The VideoLAN Forums • View topic - AVI Index feature in 0.8.5 beta

Hi, One of the reasons I always preferred VLC is that it's able to download partial files while they are still downloading..

The latest beta however always displays the "AVI Index" message box, asking me whether I want VLC to rebuild the index. This gets rather annoying, so is there any way to turn that off (I looked in the preferences and couldn't find anything).

And from a design/user friendliness point of view, I'd suggest the devs add a "Always use this answer" checkbox to that message box.

My thoughts exactly.
