The VideoLAN Forums • View topic - Sound delay when playing some AVIs
I have searched the list.
I play Recorded TV AVIs the suffer about 1-2 seconds of delay of sound to video.
Just enough to be very anoying.
I most often use VLC (0.7.0) on my G4-400 Mac runing 10.3.1
I tested that the files run fine under Windows Media Player, yet suffer about 1 sec delay in sound for VLC under Windows as well.

This problem is probably fixed in the development version..
it sounds awful familiar to the problems with the pdtv hdtv rips.
Don't use PMs for support questions.
