UT3.exe has encountered a problem and must close? HELP ! - Steam Users' Forums

I just bought the game through STEAM, downloaded the latest NVIDIA drivers as well. Every time time I try to launch the game, the graphic pops up and the game begins to boot, when I get the windows error that UT3.exe is not responding. I've seen this error described in similar ways on many forums, but have yet to find a true solution. I tried deleting the folder in MY GAMES, but this did not change the problem. I've deleted the game three times, and still, the same problem. "Device does not support 1x32 FP render target format." This is your problem.

You don't need to copy that whole mess of text if you ask for help in other places.

Normally that error means that you are using a video card that is unsupported, e.g.

Some crap Intel chip.

But, I've seen this error in relation to modern Nvidia cards as well.

We've probably read all the same forums posts on it. What OS are you using?

Yeah, I am using dual SLI geforce 8800 GTs. My OS is WinXP pro 5.1 (build 2600)
