Must be expensive as hell
i'd rather just have my normal key incase i need to get in my car by the actual key, then just buy an S2000 or Z8 push button start and wire it to my regular ignition

Interesting none the less.
Any part for the CAS is really expensive.
Wonder if that start/stop button is just a simple short on the starter relay, or if it actually cranks(up to 5 secs?) until the car is started like the E90s do as soon as the button is pressed.

Suscribed i don't get it.
You put the key in the key hole, turn half way then press the start button.
If that's how it works, then it makes more sense to turn the key completely and start the car as usual.

Negative. Key is pushed into slot just like E90.
Pushing key in activates KL15 and 30, well at least that's how it functions on the E90.

Push starts are fun, but to me, there is a certain kind of satisfaction of turning the key

I have a friend who just got a 07 328xi, and u don't even need to put the key in the slot.
Just step on the brake and push start.
So cool.
