Weight Loss Thread
Who else is trying to loose weight, right now?
I've lost 16 lbs.
In the last 10 weeks, an average of 1.5 lbs.
A week, but I don't feel like I'm loosing consistently, and now I've hit a plateau.
See my weight loss blog here at MySpace.

I started off at 250, and I'm down to 234...going for at least 190, a total weight loss of 60 lbs.
I'd like to get there by the holidays, but it looks like it might be early spring, if I don't speed the process up.
I've lost a lot of weight before, 20-25 years ago, and I actually got down to 180 or below, but I was super fit.
Actually, that was my weight in military basic training.
I don't remember, exactly.
190 is fine with me, but, when I was in the US Air Force, they still considered that borderline heavy.
Everytime I would go over 192, they would put me on the "Fat Boy Program." That was slang, of course it was called something else.
They said my "Ideal" weight was 176-180, and I think that's a little unrealistic.
I haven't weighed that except for in basic training and perhaps the 5th grade.
Both of my doctors recommend 170-190, now.

Yea the longer in your life that you've been heavy the more ideal the weight becomes instead of the actual weight www.cdc.gov is the guidelines for normal weight thing, some docs go by the old guides and body structure than they do the new guidelines

I can't readily find anything there about what my ideal weight should be, but I do believe that many sellers of weight loss products give very idealistic (or unrealistic) weight goals in order to promote products.

Read my weight loss journal on my MySpace blog: RickAllison.info .
I did notice at the CDC website where they say 1-2 lbs.
Is a healthy weight loss goal.
I've lost on 1.6 lbs on average for the last 10 weeks, so I'm OK.

I've lost almost half a stone in the past couple of weeks.
I'm really happy about it.
It's all down to doing 20 minutes of exercise a night.

Everyone hits a plateau when trying to lose weight.
You just need to keep eating healthy meals and exercising.
You should change your workout routine a bit to kick it up some, that may help.
From what I've seen if you change up your workout intensity from time to time you actually have a better result.
This is only what I have seen on people know everyone is different.
Ignore the scale, keep eating a few correctly portioned healthy meals a day and workout.
Use weights and you'll pass that plateau quickly
