BLOGS: NEED HELP! DOES ANYONE KNOW IF I POST A BLOG ON MY PAGE ...
. . . If I post a blog entry on my account and later check to see if anyone has read it, does that ADD as a blog view?
In other words, if I see that I have 3 views, but I had checked myself to see if it had been read 2 times or to edit my blog, does that mean only 1 other person viewed my blog?
Or, does MySpace recognize that since it's my blog, regardless of how many times I check or edit it, ignores my own views?
Also, even if I'm not showing any subscribers but obviously my blog is being read, how does anyone know I posted a new blog?
Does that show automatically in the recent activity area that I HAVE posted a new entry?
I'm just trying to find if my blog views are distorting the total number of views shown.
Any help will be really appreciated!

Never go by any of the MySpace counters (blogs/profile/photo/video/etc), they are all off.
No matter how you have your blogs set, even as Diary, for some reason it will usually show 2 or 3 views, even if you know you only looked once yourself.
No, nobody is looking, not even MySpace staff, it's just like I said that the counters are off.
Really, just use it as an approximate rather than an honest count, I'd say knock off at least 5 or maybe 10 off of whatever number you see.
I'm fairly sure your own views don't count, but it doesn't really matter if they do, obviously now knowing what you know.
If you'd like a better blogging service, you'll need to go off MySpace and get a real blog, there are plenty out there, just Google and see what community you'll like best.

Consider it verified, that by your viewing your blog, while logged in doesn't count.

Do you know that when I post a blog, does it show up on the Activity portion of the MySpace home page?
Like, does it say "such and such just posted a blog." I'm wondering because on days I DON'T post an entry, I have no views, but as soon as I DO post a new blog, I then DO get a view number.

It will only happen if you have it checked to show, in your Activity Stream.
You can change that if you want to under the Privacy Setting for your Activity Stream.
You can also block people in your friends list from seeing them, although all they would need to do is go look to see if you did.
