Last name changed on new passport to married name - visa on old passport - ImmigrationPortal Forums

Hi, Me and wife went to Canada last year for visa stamping.

After we came back to US, we applied for her new passport to change her last name to married name.

Now her new passport has married name, whereas the H4 visa is still on her old passport under her maiden name.

The H4 visa on her old passport does not expire until February next year. She is planning to visit India in October this year.

Would she need to get a new visa stamped on her new passport to return back to US?

Or would the current visa under her maiden name be still valid? Please let me know Thank you

She should be fine.
