Remember me on msn messenger - Forums
I keep having to type my email address all the time when i wanted to keep it on msn - it does my head in all the time ..
I kinda took off the user form and password off the auto completed and now the save email address doesnt work!
I dont want to have to keep typing my email all the time.
Does anyone have any solutions??
I have tried to click remember me , save password and save autiomatically - none of it work when i restart the pc -i have xp.

Try this in IE:
Open Microsoft Internet Explorer.
Click Tools and then Internet Options.
In the Internet Options window click the Content tab.
Click the AutoComplete button.
you will need to enter the details again but they should remembered once the option has been enabled

Sorry for very long delay!!
I have enabled the Autocomplete again and i have re type the email address etc but still wont work to remember me again!
I give up and just continue to type it out

Are your cookies set to be deleted automatically when the browser is closed down?
If so, this could be the cause of the problem as sites need cookies to remember such information.
Recently I gave my computer a good "housekeeping", deleting cookies, etc., and had the same problem when first logging onto my email again.
Keeping the cookies after that - no problem.

I give up and just continue to type it out glad your half way there but as said by Rogerman, cleaning away the cookies or placing a tick in the autocomplete box in software like, CCleaner removes the saved list of addresses etc

If you are referring to clicking on the email icon in Messenger to open up your hotmail page then the issue with the page not displaying or keeping the login name and password is a bug from within Messenger itself, it is nothing to do with any of the autocomplete settings on your browser, whatever browser you are using.

When I click on the mail icon in Windows Live Messenger it automatically opens my Windows Live Mail - it doesn`t take me to my Hotmail home page.
I use WLM to receive both my POP3 and web-based mail.

Ever since I installed Messenger Live version 2009 (14.0.8064.206) when I click on email icon it takes me to hotmail webmail login where I have to enter the correct login and password.
On the previous version of WLM it logged in straight away with no intervention from me.
Odd isnt it...
