Roy Orbison - MacTech Forums

That's very believable. How about the TV documentary called, "Roy Orbison and Friends: Black & White Night" It had greats such as Bruce Springsteen, Elvis Costello, Jackson Browne, Bonnie Raitt, Tom Waits, Jennifer Warnes, T-Bone Burnett, James Burton, Glen D.

Hardin, Jerry Scheff, J.

Steven Soles, J.D.

Souther, Ronnie tutt, Mike Utley, and K.D.

Lang. If I recall correctly, not one of those people did a solo, not one of those people tried to strut his/her stuff. They all gave way to the king (oops, sorry Elvis) and let him do his thing.

I have seen that several times.

They just let Roy do his stuff and stayed out of the way.

Bruce said that it was Roy who taught him that a song did not have to be "verse, chorus, verse".

I believe it was Bruce who did the intro for Roy when he went into the hall of fame.

I have all of S&G's albums.

Do you have their Live from New York?

It's very good. A couple of Donovans too    

Roy Orbison had one of the most talented classic voices ever in rock-n-roll.

One of the few that comes close now is Chris Isaak.

I remember reading in Musician Magazine when the Travelling Wilburys first album was coming out was how excited the other guys were to be singing with Roy Orbison.

The other guys were George Harrison, Tom Petty, Jeff Lynne and Bob Dylan.

Roy was one of a kind. Chris
