I want to buy a mouse for my new MBP 15'' 2.4
Do you have to recommend something?
What about Apple Mighty mouse (wireless)?

The Apple Mighty mouse is a very decent mouse, accurate tracking.
The left/right clicking takes a little bit to get used to but works great.
I love the scroll 'wheel' (nipple)
Low power usage as far as my PB G4 is concerned, I loose about 10 minutes actual battery time due to the BT connection.
The battery in the mouse seems to last forever.
I've only changed them once in 6 months.

Is there a solution you can use wherby you dont have to have 15 dongles hanging out of your laptop to use an external keyboard and mouse, i.e can you get a wireless KB and Mouse or BT KB and mouse functional at the same time.
coming from pc to mac i feel like such a newbie

I use an Apple BT keyboard and Logitech VX Revolution with my MacBook Pro.

You can have multiple BT devices going at the same time.
Right now I have an Apple BT moust and keyboard connected.
There is nothing, but my power adapter connected to my MBP.

I personally would avoid the Mighty Mouse, I went through two of them and had no end of problems with the click mechanism.
I use a $20 wired MS mouse now

I've pretty much learned that unless you have a ONLY one finger on the right side of the mouse clicking down, it will always register as a left click.
If you meant to right-click but had your finger slightly misaligned, or if you happened to rest your index finger on the left hand side as you were right-clicking, the mouse will assume it was a left-click and treat it as such.
It's mildly annoying at first, but you get used to the behavior.
For me the scroll wheel more than makes up for this.

I have two BT Mighty Mice (plural) and one corded one.
Absolutely no problems with any of them ...

My problem was just the opposite: It'd regularly detect left clicks as right clicks.

May I also recommend the Logitech V270 which is a notebook cordless mouse.
Apart from being available in a nice silver colour to compliment your MBP, it does not need a dongle as it has bluetooth.

Is a mouse with a USB dongle any more or less accurate than a bluetooth mouse?
I've heard some horror stories about the tracking on bluetooth mice.

I use the Razer DeathAdder which is an excellent mouse but Razer doesn't support OS X for any of their mouses except the Pro mouse so I have to use USB overdrive or whatever it's called to get support for all my mouse buttons.
I doubt it makes use of all the features the mouse has thought.
Logitech is better with the support and G5 is a nice mouse aswell or the wireless one called revolution or something like that.
The Pro mouse will look good with a white mac thought, or any mac:

I really doubt that the mighty mouse is anything to have compared to thouse mouses but I could be wrong.

Awesome mouse.
If you won't be moving your MBP around much, you can also try the Logitech Revolution MX.
I have both, and I love both!

I use a wired Logitech MX518, one of the best mice I've ever used (one more button than the G5).
Personally I hate to see wireless dongles sticking out Macbooks;
For me it's either wired or Bluetooth (and I've heard not much good about the Mighty Mouse).
A bluetooth G7 or Razer would be awesome.

My vote goes for the MX Revolution.
Great scroll wheel with horiz.
Scroll (particularly handy in iTunes/iphoto), I've missed the back/forward buttons, a built in app switcher, and a spotlight button.
The Amazon review says that the Mac support for this mouse is not on par with windows.
I guess by not on par that means you have to go to the logitech website and download the software for it as the the CD is only for XP (yes you have to go to the website to download stuff for Vista) Anyway with that installed you predictably get a preference in sys prefs that gives you full control over all of the mouse functions, which I really appreciated as my old MS intellimouse didn't have this and when I moved over to OS X i lost my horizontal scrolling and back/forward buttons.
Oh and its has really slide-y feet.

Oh and I am using it with my 2.2 SR MBP just in case you were wondering

I have both as well.
I really love them, although I would only recommend the MX for desktop style use, as it is much larger and has a dedicated charging station.
The VX is one of the coolest, nicest looking, and most responsive wireless notebook mice I have used.
The dongle even fits inside the mouse!!
How freaking cool is that!?

For the brief time that I had my MBP, I used the Mighty Mouse BT and it worked great.
If you can afford it, I recommend checking it out at a store and getting the MM BT model.
Logitech mice are great, but I just hate the RF reciever you have to plug in to a USB port.
Hate that it uses up a port, and that it is sticking out there, all exposed.
I go to school, and student desks are small, especially with my law books scattered about.
The bluetooth is a much better solution.
Wish there were more bluetooth models out there, but the MM is great.
And it has native Mac support.
I have heard some not-so-great things about Logitech mouse software on the Macs.
Just my opinion.
