Bluetooth Plugin for Windows Mobile Device Center in Vista? - ActiveSync - Palm Support Community

Hello, I have searched the internet universe for a Bluetooth Pluging that's a replacement for the ActiveSync Bluetooth Plugin.

I know that Windows Vista doesn't run ActiveSync 4.2 and I tried to use the Bluetooth Plugin that came with my "Getting Started CD" for my Treo 750 and it wouldn't install.

Does anyone know if there is a new Bluetooth Driver out for the Windows Mobile Device Center that works with Windows Vista?

Anyone have a web address?

Also, I want to set up my Treo 750 as a wireless modem and would like to use my Bluetooth connection for that as well.

Do I need a different driver for that, is there one?

This is my next task.

Just thought I'd throw this in to the message as well.

Thanks, Matt G Post relates to: Treo 750 (Cingular)

Good luck.

The update that deemoney0404 posted is if you are trying to use the broadcom BT drivers.

If you want the Microsoft drivers for Bluetooth it is a little more tricky.

1. uninstall the Microsoft Bluetooth plugin from the cd if it is already installed.

2. end any Sync relationship that is currently setup with device in WMDC 6.0 3.

Install WMDC 6.1 4.

Uninstall the BT adapter driver from Device manager and let Vista reinstall it after reboot 5.

Reestablish the cabled sync relationship with the device 6.

Now try and setup the Bluetooth sync and it should work. Message Edited by Scifiaddict on 06-28-2007 06:36 PM
