Treo 750 - Windows Vista - Bluetooth Sync - ActiveSync - Palm Support Community
Hello Guys, I've been trying for sometime to do a Sync with a Bluetooth connection, but after a lot of tries I gave up and I'm requesting help.
Palm Treo 750, Windows Vista Home, Windows Mobile Center 6 The bluetooth drivers are working great on windows vista.
I can connect and sync my old Palm TX with no problems (HotSync).
I can connect the internet using a bluetooth connection from my laptop to my Treo 750, and works great and very fast.
I can sync my Treo 750 trough USB Cable with no problems.
I used to syncronize my Treo 750 in my old XP LapTop with no problems, but now i cann't create a bluetooth partnership with my PC.
Altough the 750 is able to find my notebook bluetooth adpater, it only finds Serial Port and Wireless Stereo serivces...
So I Cann't choose ActiveSync or Windows Mobile Center service, so this way I cann't create a partnership and cann't connect via bluetooth for Sync.
Does anybody knows how to make this partnership?
Does anyone has a Treo 750 syncronizing with Vista trough Bluetooth?
Thanks and sorry for the mistakes on my writing, I'm from Brazil.

Hi , I use to sync my 750 using windows mobile device center over bluetooth connection on windows vista.
In the connection settings window,do you have under 'Allow connections to one of the following' option ,a dropdown box with 'bluetooth' selected.?
Thanks Karthik

I have a Treo 750 & had issues Syncing via bluetooth.
There are many factors that could cause you not being able to sync.
If you are using Toshiba bluetooth stack use option A & B if not use option B only
Option A) If you are using the Toshiba Bluetooth stack you will not be able to sync using bluetooth.
You must 1st remove the Toshiba stack.
2nd Turn off your bluetooth device.
3rd Reboot your machine 4th download and install logitech's bluetooth drivers.
5th turn on your bluetooth device.
Option B) In control panel select the bluetooth icon and pair your treo with the computer...
After you have done this click on the treo in the bluetooth devices window.
Then click properties.
The click on the Services tab and select Active Sync Bluetooth Service....
This solved the problem both at home and at work, Home I was uing the Toshiba stack at work I wasn't.

Jouvert21 ,
Hooray!!
Your advice worked for me too!
I was beating my head against a wall trying to get my Treo 755p to work sync with Vista 64-bit via Bluetooth using a Kensington Micro USB adapter.
The dweebs at Best Buy were so certain this adapter would work with the phone yet it took me 6 MONTHS to find this very helpful answer.
I did as you instructed: uninstall Toshiba Stack, removed adapter, rebooted, installed Logitech Stack, connected adapter and discovered my phone and everything worked like a charm on the FIRST TRY!
THANK YOU for your very helpful post!
