PRE Email. AOL "favorites" and "inbox" show 3 pieces of mail that aren't there. Help?? - webOS Software - Palm Support Community
First things first.
Got my Pre last Friday night here in Chicago.
Only one "flaw" and that's one pixel that's a lovely shade of red.
Other than that, damned impressive for a new model/OS.
I've been on Palm since the Pilot days, have had CE machines, Casios, 700W's,etc.
Many of my employees and co-workers have iPhones (because they owned iPods and it was a natural move).
Everyone is impressed with this thing.
Perfect? Hardly. I'm glad I made the switch...and knew full well that early adopters are guinea pigs.
OK...now for my question.
I searched here and on the Palm support community and can't find the answer.
I have 3 email accounts;
My EAS corp account, a Gmail account I rarely use and my AOL account.
On my AOL account, when I look at my "favorites" (my AOL inbox is one of them), I see the little circle with a 3 in it which I THINK means there are 3 unread emails in there.
There aren't. There are none.
In fact, I went through all my AOL folders and made sure everything was marked "read".
I've opted for snyc "show email" to be 1 day.
I "get mail" each hour.
I can't figure out how to clear the 3 or why it thinks there are 3 sitting out there.
Oh...and I also have cleared everything via my laptop so my AOL account is definitely cleared out.
Thoughts??

I've seen that there's a button for "resync my voicemail count".
Is there not one for "resync my mailbox"?

I got my pre a couple of weeks ago and have a similar issue with aol email.
Mine will show only 5 emails at any given time.
If I read one, the next time I go to the inbox, one more mail will be added to the bottom of the list.
Right now the inbox says there are 20 emails but I can only see 5 until I delete one or more.
If you have any answers, I'd sure like to know.
By the way, the first 3 days I had the device the aol mail worked perfectly.
I also cleared out my mail, have delete and reset the account numerous times, done a hard reset and taken out the batery but it is still the same.
At the sprint store they didn't know what to do and palm support offerred no help as well.

Just to update. I took my pre back to Sprint, changed it out and the new one works beautifully.
Had to delete the account and re-etablish it but then it was fine.
