AOL e-mail and Treo 700W - can't send - Wireless Email - Palm Support Community
I followed all of the great instructions from Palm and AOL about setting up to receive and send AOL e-mail on my Treo 700W.
Everytime I "create" an e-mail in AOL (on my Treo) and try to send it - I get error messages.
As long as that email is in the Outbox, it shows errors sending and receiving.
When I delete it, there is no problem.
Why can't I send an e-mail using my AOL account from my Treo??!!

I am having the same problem and AOL has been working fine before.
It may be an AOL issue.
I will send them an email.

I am having the same problem too.
It had worked a couple of weeks ago and now I can not send mail through AOL.
When it connects, I get the error 501 INVALID SCREEN NAME FORMAT/LENGTH These are the very same email addresses that I use everywhere and that are being sent to me.
I can not even reply.
Has anyone solved this problem.
I don't know who to work through to get a resolution

I get the same message have you found any answers early on i was able to send messages then this too long message started appearing-- same if i type in email , use reply or name from address book any help yet

I have not found any answers yet.
I usually don't give up on these things but i have not found anything yet.
I will try to keep this chat posted with anything I find - I hope you do the same!!

Please check your VersaMail accounts Outgoing Server Settings and see if your username has @aol.com, i.e.
username@aol.com, appended to it.
If so, delete it and retain only the username part, i.e.
username@aol.com to username.

I already had my AOL set up that way - not sure what the VersaMail thing is all about.
Still does not work!

I cannot figure out how to get my aol e mail on my PALM tx can anyone tell me how to set it up?

I am able to receive email from my AOL accounts but can't send.
I tried using reply, foward or just typing in the email address.
I was able to do this one week ago, but no more.
Did I change anything I shouldn't have???
Has anyone talked to AOL or Palm about this??
