Unreality Forum: DO SINGERS HAVE RIGHTS IN THE MUSIC INDUSTRY

Hi everyone i've been asking this question for a while now what rights do singers have in the music industry....

Do you even have the right to say No if you don't like something or Yes even if the label don't agree....

Do singer have the right to wear what they want to wear or do they HAVE to wear what they tell you to?? does anyone know

Hello Bri, Singers who work regionally wear what they like.

The only obligations they keep is the jobs they get.

Other obligations include keeping accounts accurate not creative accounting and making sure that the National insurance contributions Agency and the tax office is happy with what your are doing. If held to a contract you will be given rights accorcding to the fine print. Maureen Ageing tart

It would be all depend on the terms of your contract.

Not all are prescriptive on everything, but record companies make an initial outlay on recording and marketing costs, so they can sometimes stipulate things.

You should always have the advice of an experienced entertainment industry lawyer in place as it can be confusing.

Ok i see .... thanks for the reply
